    This is paid software?. REALLY?.

tsk....i guess that having Windows Live Writer has Windows users too pampered. this don`t holds a candle to it obviously. but i actually think zoundry raven or scribefire are better choices for the mac and linux since it is free and looks to have more features than Blogo.

    oh well.

ops. i guess scribefire is actually the only good free choice for mac and linux. just saw Zoundry ended up being windows only in the end

$25 to do what ScribeFire does for free and far less obtrusively! I think not.

I love ScribeFire and I like the price. But the one click add, photos, videos to your post, via Blogo is pretty cool. I still have trouble getting ScribeFire to give me twitter updates and let me post to my twitter account. This is slick via Blogo. I guess I could use a combination of free tools to post to both twitter and blogs but think this is a cool app and will give it a look.

I'm an avid Twitter user (mrpower) and I only ever use the fantastic desktop Air app, Tweetdeck, so the integration with Twitter is not relevant to my needs. Scribe Fire allows adding direct from YouTube and Flickr but for me the whole thing becomes rather academic because Blogo doesn't support my main blog platform which is the great SquareSpace!

All in all a non-starter for me. I don't particularly like the Blogo interface either, sorry :(

Blogs already have WYSIWYG editing, so I don't see the point of this
  • mike power · 11 months ago
The 'point' is remote editing. Your TV probably has buttons on it but I bet you like to use the remote, no? Almost all blog platforms are actually easier to publish to using a remote editor than using the blogs own interface and quicker too. But nobody is forcing anyone to use them :)

any chance you could do a fup piece comparing it to marsedit (the de facto ruler of paid mac editing sw) and scribefired (as mentioned above, the leader in free)?

otherwise it's just shilling, or feels like it...

Yeah, with a horrible ugly GUI..
  • Kali · 11 months ago
So let me get this right, if you are not familiar with the UI of Wordpress, Blogo will do the work for you? For some reason I could never fully grasp Wordpress. I just downloaded the trial for my Typepad blog and love playing with it. Thanks, Blogo

Have never warmed up to Tweetdeck to many panes. Been using Twhirl a lot though my twitter needs are quite low key. I have had problems with Blogo and uploading graphics to one of the blogsites I use keep getting 500 errors. On another site, however, this is a non issue. Wish the twitter 140 characters would let you go past 140 so you could work backwards though. I like an all in one solution.
