Are you kidding? I mean, we are talking about a 2.0 world. A) This is a harmless app, nothing else. B) Banning cannot be an answer. C) Beer applications aren't banned as well. It's just a little app. Nothing else.

Re: iPhone Smoking App: Should It Be Banned?

Stupid app, cool technology. Apple has age restriction rules in place for adult content for songs/movies they sell on iTunes, they should use the same system for apps.

Now that Apple has allowed iSmoke into the app store, when will they allow iBoobs? http://www.youtube.com/watc...

Re: iPhone Smoking App: Should It Be Banned?

I would humbly suggest that FREE “iRecorder” and “Blow” apps make much better use of the Smule technology.

http://appshopper.com/utili...

http://appshopper.com/music...

Re: iPhone Smoking App: Should It Be Banned?

Slick App, I say don't restrict it.

Re: iPhone Smoking App: Should It Be Banned?

I *WANT* to watch the stupid fools that use this app to "smoke" in their favorite restaurants.

Almost as ridiculous as watching someone ACTUALLY smoking.

Re: iPhone Smoking App: Should It Be Banned?

This app is great! They made it clear that they originally rejected a series of apps because they didn't have the appropriate genres to categorize them in. They even notified app owners that they would be given another opportunity in the future. Now that they have the new categories in place, the app makers were urged to resubmit.

As for whether it should be "banned" (which it never was, it was temporarily rejected for other issues not related to censoring), I'd like to know on what grounds one would argue that case.

Re: iPhone Smoking App: Should It Be Banned?

If you smoke iPhone instead of a cigar, you will be healthier!

Re: iPhone Smoking App: Should It Be Banned?

I have the sudden urge to smoke after reading this article. :)

Re: iPhone Smoking App: Should It Be Banned?

If you even have to ask if it should be banned...

Seriously, all this censorship is ridiculous.
