I have use been using FitnessJournal.com every day for the last few years and am very happy with it. The new iPhone platform is pretty cool too.

Sorry to see you missed ExerciseTV. (www.exercisetv.tv) 100's of videos...what better way to workout and lose weight then exercising. You can stream or download and own. Awesome!

nutritiondata.com is a great free site for tracking food consumption that i have been using for a few years... works well.
  • VertidalJump · 1 year ago
My food diary is fantastic. They should have one where you post pictures of the food you ate.

    I personally love Fitizens.com http://www.fitizens.com

Its small but the quality of people on there is SOOOOOO much better than the others sites I've tried.
  • SongBirdMary · 1 year ago
Here's another vote for MyFoodDiary.com. I joined it several years ago and lost 10 pounds. I fluctuate a pound or two here or there but otherwise I've been able to keep it off.
  • Johan E · 1 year ago
Great list! I personally use www.shapelink.com to log my training.
  • Mike · 1 year ago
MyFitnessPal.com should definitely be added to this list. I've tried pretty much every calorie counter on here and myfitnesspal is the easiest one to use by far.
  • Mike W · 1 year ago
You forgot PhysicsDiet.com, a graph tool to plot your weird over time. Very useful for those of us who are visual people!
  • CourtneyCJ · 1 year ago
I use Fitday, and I like it a lot. It takes a lot of work to key in what you've eaten every day, though, especially since my diet doesn't consist of the frozen meals and fast food programmed into the food database.

www.fitnrg.com is another calorie counting website that also lets you track your workouts, activities, diet and weight, and has a large community of fitness minded members.
  • Donovan · 1 year ago
Whhoooooooaa you've got be joking, this fitnrg is a blatant reproduction of fatsecret.com. The whole site is a rip-off. Bad form.
  • ccarella · 1 year ago
Some workout buddies and myself are all using Gyminee to track our weight, caloric intake and our workouts. There is an iphone client and I highly recommend the app.

Honestly I would enjoy this review a little better if the list wasn't so long. I don't want to know every diet site in the world, just the three or four best in each category. If I wanted fifty I'd do a google search. Just some constructive criticism. Love the site!
  • Terry · 1 year ago
You forgot fitwatch.com. Everything you need in one site.
  • Mike G · 1 year ago
More like the blogger 50 lol! How about spending less time in front of the computer munching Freetos and getting out and walking some, oh Einsteins of the LCDs?
  • Nils · 1 year ago
Hi, in Germany http://trainingstagebuch.org is very popular.
  • Alex · 1 year ago
I use http://www.shapelink.com too. The most complete tool I have used so far. The "challenge friends" is extremely motivating.
  • S · 1 year ago
Tweet what you eat is great for me.
  • Mike · 1 year ago
Another great site is http://www.nutrimirror.com. It's new but it's got all the tracking features you'll need for calories, nutrition, and health benchmarks. And it's free.
  • Allison · 1 year ago
www.Diettv.com is the best! I'm so glad you listed it and included a snapshot of the very nice design work they have. I have been a member for a year and it just keeps getting better with new tools, sleep tracker, water tracker and more to help in overall health.
  • Cindy · 1 year ago
I have been using DietTV.com too. I have lost 10 lbs. just by tracking my food and water. I think it is super cool, and want to start a Houston support group!

    Theere's always http://www.gymamerica.com too.
  • Kevin · 1 year ago
I used http://fittron.com. The site is pretty cool and the fitness professional profiles are much more detailed then others I have seen. I found my trainer on there.

the best is FitSync. If anyone is like me who upgrade their device, then you'd like FitSync because you can download your workouts to your device, log and upload your data to the website. So doesn't matter if you have an Android, iPhone, Windows Mobile, Palm or java. They have free fitness plans (or you can create your own) that you can schedule so your workout is automatically downloaded and you'll know exactly what to do. yeah, you can watch exercise videos too

    Interesting.

I have used Fitsync for a while and I enjoy it.

Anyone that wants to use a fast weight loss diet to get in shape needs to do 2 things that are critically important.
    1. You have to track your calories going in - this is why this list is great - I like Live Strong (Lance Armstrong's Site)
    2. You have to work on your "head". Most failures results from our negative mental programming, not because we don't know what to do to achieve fast weight loss.

After I won the 1998 Body For Life contest I realized, after helping many people, that these 2 components were most critical. For more info head on over to : My Blog

These are really nice apps. It's important to have an ideal of how many calories you're eating. Also keep in mind the difference between good calories and bad calories. I didn't know all the apps were available and could be used on cell phones.

Someone with the expertise needs to develop a site that will give social networking capabilities to anyone that is struggling with cravings of alcohol and other drugs. There is nothing much different than the calories or training, except for the consequences are severe. http://www.drug-rehab-colorado.com

I'm a big fan of MealsMatter! As food is kind of a passion it's great to get new ideas for cooking healthy and still eat food that tastes great! This is a cool listing you've put together here. Thanks for sharing!
