Seems like a lot of hard work without any guarantees of getting your property to front page of dwellicious.

Potentially a good strategy: a "popular" page that real estate agents will be desperate to get their properties on.

I built this exact same concept two years ago. People liked the idea...but the industry wouldn't accept it back then. Let's see if this gets any traction now.

This is from the same guys that formerly ran eNeighborhoods(remax.com, etc...), Andy Wooley and Greg Robertson. With their existing close ties and relationships within the real estate technology industry and major brokerages, they have an distinct advantage over any other startup in this space coming in cold. Plus, they are smart guys so even though this looks like a bit of a fail to a casual observer, if played right it could work out nicely. Why? Most people use a combination of websites to search for the right home to buy and currently there is no place to centrally manage the listings that you are interested in, let alone one that monitors them and keeps their status updated.

@Scott Lockhart Actually it's Andy's smarter and better looking brother, Dan Woolley (he made me say that).

Dan ran all of development and technology at eNeighborhoods. Andy is still at eN where he manages their Enterprise sales division.

@ Greg I always get those two mixed up... :)

Good luck with the site. Looks good - see you at Inman.

I've been doing some light beta testing with Dwellicious since I do a lot of marketing work for the real estate industry. While I'm sure a lot of realtors and RE marketers are going to be looking to this site for some added benefits, I really think the true value does lie in the hands of the buyers using the site. Mostly because of the added features that Dwellicious has included along with the bookmarking. You can get a lot of outside data about the property and the area on the actual bookmark details page such as maps, recent sales data, etc.

How are they going to make money? Selling services to real estate agents?
I really don't mean to be harsh, but I don't see that working. That is an unstable base to build a company on.

Will they at least serve ads on their results pages?

This reminds me of about a zillion companies I saw back in 2000 that thought up useful or interesting web tools/services, but the revenue streams just weren't obvious enough to make them viable businesses.

Then again, if Delicious can make money (I'm assuming), then maybe Dwelicious will.

    Best of luck.
