When I encounter this problem, I use the website of ViewYouTube (http://www.viewyoutube.cn)
It's specially designed to watch YouTube video's online without hours of seaching/installing/configuring software. I can only recommend this.
The website is English but from China because it's used alot there.

Hey, i'm an american living now in Beijing on China Telecom.
MY ISP allways blocks Skype, MSN and servers like Myspace and Google. I"ve tried lots of things, but the best one is www.strongvpn.com !
It gave me the American IP which i use now, no lagging, full anonymous! Think its my my best choice

VPN is the way to go, likw http://www.bananavpn.com it tunnels right through the blocks and you get full access. Even skype now works in Thailand!

you can add Laos in your list cause i live there and we can't have acces to youtube there. and that at the same time as Thailand.
does it mean that Laos depends on thailand to have acces to the net???

The reason Thailand blocked youtube (and rightly) is that some jokers put a short film on youtube making fun of their King. I can't believe you idiots didn't know that!......what? do you sit and watch youtube and wank all day!. If youtube are going to let anything on their website then they get what they deserve........making fun of the Thai King is the worst thing anyone could do......a little bit like calling your christian god a poofter!

Yeah...Thailand blocked yourtube because this yourtube let a jackass put a video offending the King of Thailand who is the father figure and the symbol of the kingdom of thailand.. in turn offending 60 million of Thai people...I'll tell you how confused American are... American have this law about flag burning saying it is about symbolic expression... but they make shorts and underwears out of it... touchy is it?. but that is their own business the rest of world might laugh but respect however it seems like whenever they want they close one eye on their own freedom of speech or they are simply and totally confused. The problem is when other culture talk about the offense to their symbolic expression .. then American like to say it is a violation of freedom of speech to them.. Are American ready to step into world community or they are just kidding themselves... or they are just as confused as their president!

No, it's not about ex-prime minister Thaksin why youtube is banned in Thailand.. it's because of the inexcusably disgraceful videos that some people made.. they made fun of the King of Thailand.. The king of thailand is a very respectable and honorable person! why would somebody make fun of him? the government of thailand tried to ask youtube to delete the videos but youtube did not comply! so thailand decided to ban youtube website!

This is stupid and ww already know that Thaksin is corrupt. You love Thaksin because he gives so much to you. You think he will benefit us, but you are wrong. Everyone is waiting for Thaksin to come back because then he will be at the court to receive the punishment from his wrong doing things.

Also to Eddie Fisher, the reason that Thaksin is not punished by the lese majesty law - is because there are a lot of people support him (because they get benefit from Thaksin).
