I was wondering when this would happen since they have been using jabber all along. Now if only the other protocols would stop being so restrictive we could chat, voice/video chat, and share files all from one client instead of having 400 different clients open.

Yippee, it only took Google what--3 years?--to make this available? How much are they paying you to drool over them?

This Googlegasm drivel is pathetic. You know they just want to increase ad revenue streams! It's just one more way to let Big Brother Google look over your shoulder.

When the Big G overthrows the government and rules the USA with an iron fist, I'm holding you accountable, "Kristen."

    Welcome to GAmerica, sheeple.

If only Google did pay me... Then I could rule the US right alongside with them.

Technically, you haven't denied being on Google's payroll. Why am I not surprised?

"Now some are seeing Jabber (on which GTalk is based)..."

It's the other way around: Google Talk is based on Jabber. Plain old Jabber clients can connect to Google Talk (without voice).
