I'm not arguing with anyone's logic here (as it's all spot-on), but $1 million does seem like a reasonable starting point when you consider the starting points of other similar lawsuits in the past. I used to know someone whose starting point was $10 million per lawsuit, and he usually got what he wanted out of them (which was a lot less than that, obviously).

You hit the nail on the head. The same complaints (and probably stupid lawsuits)are happening now with the Flip Start UMPC. $500 price cut after 6 months of being on the market. "Early adopters are complaining and threatening to sue". Isn't this life and technology? Do they expect the price to go up????

Also, love it how supposedly she is an expert on the market enough to say the market conditions didn't warrant the change. Apple was nice enough to give rebates to the early adopters. Say thank you and move on!

I hope they throw her in jail...

This is ridiculus. Should we sue wall-mart when they drop the price on lettuce or clothing stores starts a new sale? This is the price you have to pay if you want to have something new that everyone else hasnt. And so is it going to be forever.
