Yeah I would go the Apple TV route. SONY's BIVL doesn't upscale! So if you have a 50 inch TV then you will be seeing a very very pixelated video. Apple TV is much better and the interface and stability is much better.

Frantic you're not being creative enough. Import one. I can buy them where I live, but it was half the price to get one from the States. They pretty much work anywhere with a power plug adaptor and a wifi connection :-)

I don't understand why people seem to think you have to get some seperate box to watch internet videos on your TV. Wired did an article saying the same thing.
Has nobody seen the VGA cable hook up that has been pretty much standard on flatscreens for the past couple years.
Just hook your computer up to your TV and switch to VGA mode on your remote. You can get a wireless KeyBoard and Mouse and watch all you want, plus everything else you like to do on the internet, right from your couch.

Frantic no itunes rentals here in australia either...I can purchase music but I've never once used the iTunes store. You can pretty much convert any file type via iTunes (the software) and sync it to an Apple TV, that's how we use it.
