I actually think this site is an amazing opportunity for exposure. If individuals decide to put up "bogus" pictures, clips, or what have you then sure, there should be some sort of filtering but, it does not mean that the site is "irrelevant".

By bogus I mean people that aren't really who they say they are, such as a person who signs up and posts a super model's photos as their main photo.

I'm pretty sure that the "bogus profiles" you are referring to are profiles of FANS. The site is not ONLY a place for talent, but is a great place for FANS to vote, promote, and discover up and coming talent.

I like the site, and agree with the other comments. There needs to be a filtering aspect.

I am also thinking that some of these sites should absorb one another, as there are a few out there with similar functionality, although slightly different.

Just thoughts, I like Veoh as a showcase for artists in video myself.

I think that famesource may have a chance but it would need to add alot more features and integrate new elements that can help people searching for fame, such as sites like nextcat.com, onemodelplace.com, videomodelpics.com etc..
all these sites mix social networking and business

I second Kristen's comment, you need to maintain quality and filter all content - the site is already filled with bogus profiles and it just launched.

I disagree with your comment that this may be another "forgettable" entrant in a crowded space. Much of the noise right now in the social media space is from those already there - teens, technophiles, etc. This site targets a new audience. Though a subset of this audience is already participating, the focus here will help attract the subset that is not.

For the next 6-12 months, those that are successful are those that help cross the divide to the mainstream. Framesource does just that within the talent community...

I wonder what their business model is, do they take a cut off of finding new talent should someone Hollywood type want to hire one of their users.
