Test webwag and you'll change your mind. Before startpages i needed 2 hours to verify news now i can see in a few minutes where i have yo go to read news.

Do not hesitate to download the toolbar it increses your experience. It 's a great idea.

Internet is still in live, young and growing.

Rfly from France

Re: Webwag Takes on Netvibes and Pageflakes

I don't understand why these sites exist. They use the hard work of other media and display simply the headlines.

Why we don't appreciate that a thief stole our cars or other stuff so why we accept that webmag or vibes etc.. stole headlines that they don't belong to them that other spent money to and resources to write the story? so why we use this site, why we promote them ?

They are simply killing internet news like spam for email, and news media and in the same time themselves . I understand that Internet is a democratic place, open to all and free to all, but there is a little of ethic. We have to respect what others do and spent time to find it and write it.

Sorry for my english but I hope that readers will understand my point !!

Re: Webwag Takes on Netvibes and Pageflakes

Protopage just launched protopuppy, pretty cute. Should be interesting to see whats cooking when it launches.

Re: Webwag Takes on Netvibes and Pageflakes

Hey Sharpshoot,

Yeah, did mention Protopage further down. It's definitely the prettiest of the bunch. Strange how Europe is so good at making startpages.

Re: Webwag Takes on Netvibes and Pageflakes

Pete,
Don't forget www.protopage.com, from London. That makes it 4 start page start ups in Europe. Also if you consider mad4milk's mooglets (Rome, Italy), that makes it five.

Europe is clearly the startpage innovator.

Sumon

Re: Webwag Takes on Netvibes and Pageflakes

The next inevitable development: Webwag raises $10 million.

Re: Webwag Takes on Netvibes and Pageflakes

Hi Pete,
You're right, we had the wrong feed of Mashable. Now it is corrected :)
True, the Digg article hit our servers yesterday but they never went down, hope the slow traffic users will return on Webwag because we will keep on innovating. We will soon upgrade our servers for sure.

And thank you for mentioning Webwag.
