Thanks for the great tips, I love it. I usually use Google Pages, but Netvibes downloads very quickly. Also thanks for the Mashable Netvibes codes for the office utility, it is perfect.

Cool this does allow you to put up a mini office. If you add the box.net gadget then you also have a file manager in there.

    Good idea.

These tools are still rather simple for 'remote office' use, netvibes is great and wins for ui and looks ( and web 2.0 hipness), but I find that the firefox/igoogle (was Google personal homepage)combo gives me more sophisticated tools for my remote office needs. igoogle is obviously tied to deeper google tools ( gmail, gcal, gdocs, gnotebook all which have igoogle homepage modules. And while 'remember the milk' (todo) is OK, I switched to toodledo as a better todo tool that syncs with igoogle and gcal.

I wanted to also note a product from Etelos, Etelos CRM for Netvibes. It's a gadgetized CRM suite that we've integrated into the Netvibes customizable homepage.

It has the ability to sync w/Gmail or Outlook, as well as manage projects, tasks, appointments etc…

I think Netvibes has the ability to be a viable business tool because of its accessibility and customization. People work better when they enjoy the tools they use and to have "Personal" stuff in the same place as their work stuff helps productivity.

I would recommend EditGrid if you need a spreadsheet in netvibes, here is the module link~

I love Netvibes, but I use it as a "blogging toolbox" rather than a start page or mobile office. I also have a tab that's basically a duplicate of Original Signal, and one that's a duplicate of Design-Feeds.

Honestly, I don't think your example of a "mobile office" is very useful at all. It looks more like a Fischer-Price version of a mobile office.

That unit converter looks about useless to me. A good way to take up space. Anyone who does those calculations enough to need that widget is likely to already know approximations for all the calculations.

I have been using a Netvibes start page for a while now and have finally started creating a public profile.
All of my others, Tahoo, iGoogle, Facebook etc, have their own tabs and I can take advantage of all of them under one access point..Great!
So I guess my Netvibes office is evolving over time, somethings come and somethings get removed. Love it!
