This could change of course, but until then perhaps sideloading is part of the answer.

Full disclosure - sideloading is part of my company's free mobile video service (www.interbine.com)

Re: AOL Mail Beta, Zannel, Hispanito, MTV, Zannel, Ploud, IConnectE, Flurry, Free the Fan, Iconix-RockYou, UUSee, Peer39, Newscribe, C-Span, LiveMansion

Hi Pete, I'm glad you gave Free the Fan a heads up I recently registered on the site and think it great for sports fans. What do you think could make it better since you said .."not great"

Re: AOL Mail Beta, Zannel, Hispanito, MTV, Zannel, Ploud, IConnectE, Flurry, Free the Fan, Iconix-RockYou, UUSee, Peer39, Newscribe, C-Span, LiveMansion

Revver Film School Competition

submit your video for class by tagging it “rfs green” (in quotes, spaces included) when uploading your masterpiece to revver.com For more details, go to http://one.revver.com/colle...

Re: AOL Mail Beta, Zannel, Hispanito, MTV, Zannel, Ploud, IConnectE, Flurry, Free the Fan, Iconix-RockYou, UUSee, Peer39, Newscribe, C-Span, LiveMansion

I think Free The Fan and Zannel have big potential personally. Sports is big in Europe, as are camera phones. Think about it. In Europe people swap videos from their phones using Bluetooth, now they can use the net instead. Far better distribution model.

The Internet is not just US specific, and should be kept in mind when discussing social media, IMHO.

Re: AOL Mail Beta, Zannel, Hispanito, MTV, Zannel, Ploud, IConnectE, Flurry, Free the Fan, Iconix-RockYou, UUSee, Peer39, Newscribe, C-Span, LiveMansion

you're doing a great job at being more critical of various launches, as you see more and more products flooding into crowded (and still unprofitable) niches. great work and thanks for doing it!
