Companies continually try to find new ways to make use of video on the web and have been doing so ever since the initial realization that certain video services were causing a boom. Few have managed to hit any nail on the head though, and I'm not sure this application will escape the trend. Inventive, yes. Interesting, yes. Usable outside of a few niche applications, doubtful.

As long as Disqus stores the actual video in its own storage space, video comments are fine for those like them. Otherwise, the rest of us mortals would very soon run out of disc space where we store our blogs. I personally prefer to store my wordpress blog at my own space and not at the wordpress site.

I like the idea of video commenting. But the only down fall of video comment is, not everyone has the time to do a video in front of their computer. But one thing for sure is, video stuff will become more and more common, it will be good to use in instruction, installation, assemble stuff.. later on.
