Mashable - The Social Media Guide: 2008/09/21/tribesmart/

Nice to see that other social shopping site are emerging in UK.
As I'm working in the same space I gave Tribesmart a go immediately and it looks good.
The only thing I didn't like much are the three-fold browsing menu (topic tabs / sub-topic tabs / page tabs)... it feels a bit daunting and not very easy for navigation. Also, I'm not crazy for different colours depending on the topic, I'd probably keep the same colours around the whole site.
About the functionalities, it seems to work well and the more users will join the better for everyone.
On a technical side I noticed a fairly advanced page scraper when you submit a new product. Scraping pages is a pain in the neck and it looks like the guys made a good job!

Keep up with the good work, best of luck!

Pretty slick looking design there, there's a few little bits that I'd change but for the most part it's pretty cool.

This looks good - the design is certainly more easily navigable than the likes of Crowdstorm, and there's already a proper community feel to the site.

Gift Registry & Wishlist make way. pKaboo! is here.

myFavz.com is a social shopping service with a magical twist (pKaboo!),where a user can socially interact with their co-workers, friends or family, find out about their current interests, hobbies or perfect gift ideas and learn their views on ongoing trends and popular products. The key element being that they can do this anonymously and use the feedback to surprise their friend with a gift of their choice but befitting their own budget. The identity of the gift giver is disclosed to the recipient on the day of the event, thus maintaining the element of surprise which is so crucial to the process of gifting. myFavz hereby brings back the twin elements of joy and surprise into the whole process of gift giving and gift receiving.

Users don't need to create and maintain a long and lofty wishlist to get the perfect gift . pKaboo helps users to create and communicate instant wishlists to anybody and everybody.

The design of this website looks like a knockoff of www.revoo.com

Further to AJs comment back to me (Comment:what do you mean by this site? revoo is not even functional. bad review.).

As this article was written about Tribe Smart - it was a comment about thier website and not yours. May I suggest you SPAMvertise your website elsewhere as I completely bypassed your comment, your tactics aint that clever.

Paul, I think you need some education on posting.
First of all you replied to my comment ( your comment box is inside my post); to explain further the borders of your post is inside mine(hope you understand now). To post for the article or tribesmart you have to use the post message box at the bottom of the page.
Second , I visited your site(revoo or whatever) and in no way tribesmart is a rippoff of revoo.
I think you are trying to post false info and get traffic to your site. Bad form.

paul, I don't mean to argue with you, but had you posted your message at the right place, this would not have happened - Regards

AJ I get your point about posting inside your box - my mistake, the website I meant is called www.reevoo.com and not rEvoo!

How do you do… the shops

    Don’t come again

Everyone’s been to the shops, hold on, everyone’s been to the shops that isn’t currently the unfortunate offspring of Michael Jackson’s fish pond. Blanket, he sees no evil, yet feels some evil, that boy is an unwilling consumer of organics.

Social shopping is a method of e-commerce and of traditional shopping in which consumers shop in a social networking environment similar to MySpace. Using the wisdom of crowds, users communicate and aggregate information about products, prices, and deals. Many sites allow users to create custom shopping lists and share them with friends.[1]. Others concentrate on the user interactions consisting information and recommendations that are hard to acquire from the actual sales personnel. Some services even allow users to shop together synchronously to complete the social environment Social shopping sites can generate revenue not only from advertising and click throughs, but also by sharing information about their users with retailers
