I did get it to work. I had to move it to a different section. Some part of the code didn't like the music section.

Works now.

Didn't work on my page. Not only does it slow the page to a crawl I get a big pop up failure message. Tried it on multiple computers.

Bumber, it was nice to be able to embed a decent version of a song and not just the lame watered down junk I find for myspace.

Sorry guys for the late response. We're actively working with artists, bands, labels, and other producers of media to provide a legal means for individuals to add content to their widget. There's a lot more to come with this service - it represents a larger strategy here at Box, not just a simple viral tactic. Hope you will all pay attention, and let us know how we can do our jobs better. We really appreciate the support.

Interesting. Mark Cuban is on the board. Same guy who thought YouTube was worth less than $100 mill due to legal liability. This is 10x worst!

box.net is slick for those who haven't tried it (I don't even use the widget). It's also got a decent developer API, so you can write hooks into your software to store your files there.

The web interface is a little to candy ass web 2.0 for me, but the great simple service makes up for it. (1GB for free... hoo haa)

Wouldn't they run into legal issues with the music industry? Why is nobody else (photobucket, slide, rockyou, etc.) allowing users to upload mp3s that play along the slideshows? I assume it is too much of a risk to get sued. I wonder how long box will last...
