how boring it must be to be a blogger in the eyes of mashable. I'd say more important events were HD-DVD scandal and digg rebellion, celebrity news like britney's vagina flashing, ...

You might mention the (approx) price of each event.

Wow. How did South by Southwest (SxSW) get left off this list? It's the biggest and longest-running.
  • Adam Hirsch · 2 years ago
Good question Davezilla. We'll definitely be having a Mashable presence there this coming march at SXSW Interactive in March http://2008.sxsw.com/interactive/

BlogWorld costs $99 for the standard pass, that includes the keynotes with Mark Cuban, Leo Laporte, Matt Mullenweg, Richard Jalichandra, Jeremy Wright, Roger L. Simon, Jason Shellen, Brad Hill, and over 100 more speakers.

    Full access pass is $225
    E&E Conference is $895

I would include Yearly Kos, the Milblog Conference, Blog Business Summit in this list.

SxSW should certainly be included as well.

Hope to see you all Nov 7 - 9 in Vegas.

    Blog on!

    Thanks!
  • jen lemen · 2 years ago
great list with one correction: Blogher will host one main conference this year in SF (july), a business/blogging conference in NYC (april) and a string of other smaller conferences up and down the East Coast.

The Business Bloggers conference in Chicago was very valuable -- I highly recommend it.

I would also include Blogalicious Weekend 2009! First conference to address diversity in blogging and in particular, women of color. All are welcome, new bloggers, published authors, men, and professional bloggers.
