If you read Yahoo's SEC filing about the severance package, you'd understand how big a con job it really is. It only kicks in if someone takes over control of Yahoo from the present board. What the heck does that have to do with individual employees? And even if it does, the amount of compensation offered is ridiculous and way out of range of a realistic severance package.
