people still pay for txt messages. I would not want to be charged, because someone is sending me links to something they could easily email to me

That's the beauty of tagga, you only send yourself the content you want on your phone. Tagga does not spam users with SMS and also provides a "Send to email" feature for cheaper transport.

TextMarks http://www.textmarks.com/ has a similar service that has been around longer and I really like using it.
