Omg same here... and like many others that talk about the good old days, being back in elementary school, waking up early on saturday mornings to catch not only the cartoons on tv, but to log on to bonus to play the tourneys on battlefield! Ahh what happened?!?

I thought... Well yeah - I lost interest when Battlefield 2 came out. Now I'm registering for Blitz1914 and wanted to reference the game, but it's gone. Battlefield (the original) was very fun, and laying mines was a great way to relax :)

Ahahaha, I am SO late! I used to play battlefield back when I was in 4th grade (I'm going off to college in a few months). Like most of you, the game just suddenly popped into my head and I felt like playing it.

After seeing that bonus.com disappeared I did a little search and ended up here.

I want battlefield back. bring battlefield back and i'll be on the site everyday. me and my friends used to call each other up and have us all get on bonus and we would all just chill on there. battlefield was the best game ever invented. how do you take that away from people.

This is crap. I have been playing this game on and off for about 10 or 11 years. It was the ONLY game that I would ever play online. I just tried to get back into it a few months ago after taking a few months off from it, and it turns out that it doesnt exist anymore. For the longest time I was wondering what the hell happened to the game, but after reading some of the other comments on here, they all just about answered my question. This sux. I used to play some battlefield back in the day... I stopped after a while, and then just today I tried to go back and play it... but now I find that bonus.com is gone, playbattlefield.com is gone... everything we love and know is GONE!

what ever happened to nostalgia?
even using Archive.org, I can't get the sites to show up at all...
I kinda wish somebody would invent a time-machine right now, cause this really sucks...

THIS IS SOOOOOOO FUK'ING GAY!!! UGH! I used to love that Xtreme Snowboarding game and I saw my roommate playing jet slalom one day and it hit me, I was like dude that game sucks compared to this, I'm gonna hit you with the most addicting game ever. Then...what the fuc'k do I see? Bonus.com is gone forever. Not only that (i couldn't give 2 shi'ts about that site, only its games) i tried searching for the game as well as a few other games like the football one, pontas quest, bobble, etc. and all of them are GONE! wtf! can someone get in touch with whoever ran bonus.com? I need those games back ugh!this is bull'shi't!

I like many of you am also a battlefield "veteran" you could say, and I must say it truly is a terrible loss for everyone that played battlefield I played since I was 8 in '98 and on. We and all of the rest of the battlefield community need to bring it back by far the best online game I've ever played. BTW Blues in appaloosa owned! LOL

If I'm right it was near 10 years ago when I first played battlefield, which was also right around the time when the game first came out. I would really like to do the game justice by bringing it back and running it the way it should have been run.

I am actually interested in obtaining the source code for battlefield and perhaps even purchasing rights to host the game on a server for a couple of months to see if I could bring the game back to life. Maybe add some minor updates and try to give it a fresher look, however since I found out what happened a few months back I have been unable to come in contact with anyone involved with battlefield or even it's affiliates at bonus.com. They all seemed to have vanished without a trace.

Beyond that I would consider trying to put the game together from scratch, but I have neither the time nor the full knowledge of orchestrating a project like that by myself. I've even considered hosting a site for battlefield and trying to gather what remains of the battlefield community, and maybe organizing a team together, but I believe that's just wishful thinking.

If anyone has any idea how I can come in contact with anyone who can answer a few questions for me that would be great.
