*THESE PEOPLE ARE SOOOOOOOOOOOOO FUCKING GAY!*
After seeing that bonus.com disappeared I did a little search and ended up here.
How nice.
bonus.com doesn't work... apploosacorp.com doesn't work... I think something is wrong haha.
plz tell me
I used to play battlefield on bonus.com. It then switched over to playbattlefield.com under the same administration, where I continued to play. Around 2006 Bonus.com had all but lost intrest in their pet project Battlefield, and promoted their newest creation, Battlefield 2: Rouge Battalions. That game was a bust, and no one played it due to the terrible lag created by the ridiculous idea to have a realtime motion java appelet. If you weren't on a high end cable connection you were all but frozen from the word go. After about 5 minutes people were back on playbattlefield.com playing the original battlefield. It was a great game. The ranking system, top 25s, awards, teams, exc. were great for keeping you coming back. After the failure of Battlefield 2: Rouge Battalions however, Bonus.com failed to realize that players wanted the original battlefield. They abandoned it and tried to push the blame onto the "hackers" and "cheaters" of the game. The fact is that there was only 1 hack in the game, and the player that came up with it also gave Bonus.com the fix to that hack after he saw what it had done. Bonus.com in all of its glory refused to implement the fix into the game, and turned to try again at Battlefield 2. Battlefield fell into ruin due to Bonus's lack of professionalism. They destroyed the game bit by bit. They took away the awards first. People were still playing though, so instead of doing to professional thing and telling everyone they are going to be shutting down, they just decided one day to delete everything without a word to the people who played it. There existed a community of players who know this story, and I belong to it. Never deal with bonus.com.
The remarks says this: ....
Bonus.com allows hackers and they even gave them rewards and awards to continue doing it.
I thought... Well yeah - I lost interest when Battlefield 2 came out. Now I'm registering for Blitz1914 and wanted to reference the game, but it's gone. Battlefield (the original) was very fun, and laying mines was a great way to relax :)
i dont get this.
Sorry everyone :[

I want my bonus back!
I enjoyed battlefiend for the most part, and although I stopped a few times between playing since I was 11, I never expected it to end this way.
=)
Battlefield was a good way for people to demonstrate teamwork and to be able to try to conquer another opposing team together. It wasn't a 1-person game (although for those who tried to make it so, they didn't last long) and the teamwork is something people these days can bear to learn. Not only that, but it had decent graphics for a browser-based java game, not to mention the graphics worked well with a dial-up modem.
This is a sad loss.
I know where you can find your favourite alien shooting game.
There is a website called:....
There is a game called starcannon.
It is the alien game you like!!!!!!!! =)
There are many kinds of games there.....
Or, lordswm.com
or, runescape.com
or, onlinegames.com
or, neopets.com
or, maplesea.com
Or, never care about bonus anymore. Just play the above websites????? Why get so angry over something that might never come back???
I am actually interested in obtaining the source code for battlefield and perhaps even purchasing rights to host the game on a server for a couple of months to see if I could bring the game back to life. Maybe add some minor updates and try to give it a fresher look, however since I found out what happened a few months back I have been unable to come in contact with anyone involved with battlefield or even it's affiliates at bonus.com. They all seemed to have vanished without a trace.
Beyond that I would consider trying to put the game together from scratch, but I have neither the time nor the full knowledge of orchestrating a project like that by myself. I've even considered hosting a site for battlefield and trying to gather what remains of the battlefield community, and maybe organizing a team together, but I believe that's just wishful thinking.
If anyone has any idea how I can come in contact with anyone who can answer a few questions for me that would be great.
Thanks For you help though
what ever happened to nostalgia?
even using Archive.org, I can't get the sites to show up at all...
I kinda wish somebody would invent a time-machine right now, cause this really sucks...
can play that best foot ball game
:(
Omg same here... and like many others that talk about the good old days, being back in elementary school, waking up early on saturday mornings to catch not only the cartoons on tv, but to log on to bonus to play the tourneys on battlefield! Ahh what happened?!?
