sounds like a play on "IM"...thusly the capital "M". IM...myM. yay.

Maybe they think the mystery of the capital "M" will cause users to flock like turkeys to the next Killer App for Social Networking. I don't know how many more apps/tools/utilities/social networks I can connect to. I'll just wait for the Social Media Douchebags to spread the word and them I'll know if I should use it or not. ;-)

    I hope someone sees this...
I saw the original post at valleywag right after it was posted and started to look into it. Apparently, there is a link to a special Privacy Policy that applies only to myM at the bottom of the "invite only" page. The link goes here: http://info.yahoo.com/privacy/us/yahoo/mym/ So this makes it apparent why they said it would be similar to meebo; the only thing that is obvious is that it is skinnable and it lets you chat on multiple networks, including AIM. If anyone else manages to find anything more, COMMENT!!!
    Thanks.

P.S. @FakeMA: Michael Arrington would never say words like that

Sigh...Yahoo continues to move in so many different diretions at once. I wonder if this is taking away from resources that could be devoted to their "univeral profile system" that will be replacing 360.

I use 8hands, which allows me to IM with my friends across networks, but it also provides notifications from all of my profiles, and it has the coolest media share.
From what you guys wrote about myM, I'd rather stick with my 8hands.

    Yahoo..go buy meebo.

It's soo lame to redo the same thing from scratch. Meebo have been out there for years..
