I can't wait for a Mac version and a mouse gestures extension (only one I really miss from Firefox)

In the works .. that could be years .. Anyone hear about a tangible release date for a Macintosh version ?
  • Ethan2365 · 8 months ago
I heard Google will release for the Mac OS later this year. Can't wait!

Google says (according to CNet) "mid 2009" as a date for Mac release. Until then Mac users can always try the Chrome Clone, Stainless (stainlessapp.com).

I've been using Google Chrome a lot since it was released, but the lack of extensions has kept me from switching over completely. I am looking forward to following this story.

Anthony, that's one of the reasons why I'm using Chrome - its speed and ease of use.

At last. Look forward to giving it a try!!

It's about time - I have been waiting for extentions for it. It is frustrating, since it is so fast - but for now I am sticking with FF

I like chrome, but only use it to check gmail and use firefox for all other browsing because of all the add ons that I use regularly. I would never abandon firefox for chrome completely.

I can't stand how much memory firefox takes up. I prefer chrome but there isn't a Google Toolbar for chrome. To me that makes no sense . . . I'll be waiting.

I'm sorry but I'm not sure I believe this. Its kind of an assumption.

Chrome Fans sums it up pretty well:

Until there's an Adblock extension for Google Chrome I'll be using Firefox.

I hope they're working on how they can sync it with my google account so I can sign in and.. wazam - my bookmark bar and prefs where-ever I go. Let me have script-blocker/cookie culler, everything else I'll just keep Fx and use it as a work-horse. But for casual speedy browsing - chrome.

I used chrome on my other notebook for a while but ended up just using FF. I do a lot of work on my notebooks and am responsible for half of my firm's data at any given time. I trust FF and am still learning about Chrome although I've heard good things 95% of the time. I'm going to keep checking This digital security site for updates on what to keep in mind.

Great. Google Chrome will soon have its extension.

Is Chrome the death of Firefox? In comparison, Firefox is now what IE used to be when Firefox was launched. Slow, ultra slow. And yes, please, a Google OS system.

Still waiting. When extension feature is up, I will shift delete Firefox.
