It should read "the closest thing to a phone call".&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I'm finding these left out words, incomplete sentences, and other simple flaws in writing in a number of Mashable articles lately.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Please slow down enough to write properly.  Spell checking alone is not sufficient.
