Yeah, just bear in mind that he was talking about 6-12 month timeframe. Hopefully images will be much sooner.

Sounds interesting, I wonder if they are going to go on an acquisition hunt? I know that a company I have talked about in the past already does this - BooRah.

Interesting how this short video interview made so much impact on the web. Maybe next year we should forget about live speakers and just show iChat Interviews all day?

I'm with the "WTF on restaurants ???", or maybe a side deal is being cut with Starbucks, KrisyKreme & Sonic?

Or maybe this is just a 'recovery from one instant of moral courage and/or economic stupidity - aka selling out'?

    hahahaha

re: "WTF on restaurants???" why is that such a bad thing? Wouldn't it be a good way to promote your favorite or help someone out who is visiting your town?

re:moving from 'tech' to mainstream -- how mainstream do you thing they can go? college kid mainstream or 30-something parent mainstream (or even boomer mainstream for that matter?)

I'm thinking of starting a local news/info site for community programs in my neighbourhood -- this hockey camp, that scout troop, etc. I figured a digg style rating system might be helpful to people trying to evaluate a program. It's more mainstream than restaurants, even.

Is there a social networking site that is already targeting the 25-55 crowd, other than the pure business sites like LinkedIn?

Sounds more like they are losing traffic and trying to stir up more.

You Silly Nerds - don't you get it? Digg is trying to get more of the female demographic on Digg by doing restaurant reviews. No wonder you guys haven't figured it out yet! LOL
