    Mmm interesting

She registered the typo or whatever you want to call “Konnect" , KylieKonnect.com on 26-Sep-2007.
But fail to register the KylieConnect.com , and someone else did it on 01 Nov 2007
That is very free traffic if the site become hot, yeah remember flickr & flicker

Also another weird thing , she brand it has KylieKonnect, but she is directing the traffic to ourtribe.mobi

COME ON, MATE! You can do better :) I like she own Kylie.com

Why .mobi though?? They own KylieKonnect .mobi too
Mmmm , May be I am missing something here

Oops we registered Myzine.com and Myzine.mobi too

    HI!

This is why the internet disparately needs Open ID. The idea of having a personal social network is cool, but everyone hates creating new profile after new profile after new profile. We need a way to make everything once and then just reuse the ID from network to network. It's the only way these niche sites are going to gain popularity.

You're right, though I think that one of the few niches that would support independent, small sized social networks are fan communities (in certain cases).

One of the main reasons I wrote this up, though, is that I think it's funny that this is what filters through to the MSM regarding social networks despite one of the more monumental weeks in social networking news with the release of OpenSocial.
