In fairness to the poll, number three on their wish list was the spiritual revival of Canada, which clearly means handing more power back to the First Nationers.

More troublesome, the Canadians apparently wish to return to the traditional definition of marriage, which ultimately means marriage becomes a legal contract and fathers must be allowed to sell their daughters in exchange for land or improved social status.

All in all, I think Canada is pretty much as messed up at the rest of us.

Ryan, which world are you in? Traditional mariages are being practised all over the North America and fathers are not selling their daughters for land or social status. And why bring up the Indians? Your comments are so uneducated, i think even bums in Vancouver are making more sense than you. Oh...it is funny that you can make some drugged out comments and say Canada is messed up. How ironic.

Traditionally marriages were legally binding contracts between families. My point was that when people refer to traditional marriages, they in fact mean modern marriages. Anybody with a knowledge of Contract Law will be aware of this point.

I will not apologise for pointing out that spirituality in Canada goes beyond Christianity. Last time I checked Canada was a multicultural state.

"...and promote them across their media outlets"; "Publishing the results as fact, with quotes from the pro-life Campaign Life Coalition, is at best negligent." - Are you sure about this?... You link to a press release by the Campaign Life Coalition (not something put out by the CBC). As for the results, I can assure you that there must have been some sort of campaign on behalf of the Right. Things haven't changed in Canada that quickly.

I agree...linking to that release is misleading. Here is one of a few clips on YT:

Actually, this example is pretty balanced. May revise a little.

More proof that Facebook is the Fox News of social networking: closed-minded rich white people only. I know it's ironic, since News Corp owns MySpace.

I wouldn't say Facebook is only for rich white people (I'm not sure how someone would get that impression). I'm just glad it has a more upscale demographic than MySpace.
