    I rather expected Google would do something like this. When word first got out about them developing an infrastructure - along with the free ad-based wi-fi system they unveiled - the writing was on the wall.

    I like it. But at the same time I think it should be based on adresses or zipcodes to be more practical. Sure, the technology behind it sounds cutting edge and it is cool to ask your laptop to tell you where you are, but... don't you know that already?

    And what if you want LOCAL information on a different area?

    I think it has future, but it will have to change a little.
