Color me biased, but the whole thing was shockingly extravagant - The giant billboards, the hundreds of performers, the lights, the fireworks... Sure, it was good to watch, but the only thing I could think of was carbon consumption.

Stop bitchin' and admit it was the best Olympics bar none. When the Chinese do something they do it BIG. In a few days I will go to the Hong Kong Super Market in Flushing NY and buy DVD's of everything they have on the Olympics.

The opening and closing ceremonies were awesome. I don't think this will ever be topped. Great job choregraphers and to all the performers. The costumes, the visuals, music, fireworks just the artistic flare that was shown from beginning to end was worth watching.
