Wendy,

I especially like the friend organzation and friend filtering parts of your article. As with Twitter, Digg, Propeller, and all the others there's only so much time in the day and a smaller portion of that available for social sites.

Which means you have to choose wisely who to follow and pay attention to because there's no way to actively follow 1,000 or even 100 people daily.

i'm a noob, so tanks for the intro, unfortunately i now have to make decisions about sharing....being sometimes overwhelmed with the whole thing, the easiest thing to do is "like" something but then should i also use the bookmarklet to share it? i have been using stumble to share and it's quite good, but now i have to choose or do i do them all, which seems awfully redundant and consumptive.

(Nowhere in the description is there any hint that there is valuable resource-information about "FriendFeed" in this podcast).

In the podcast, I think that Ed Dale mentioned a way to use Friend Feed.

However, I am an elderly gentleman, with VERY poor hearing, who is also a "newbie" and just learning about Social Medial and the Internet.

I did not understand what Mr. Ed Dale said about "FriendFeed". (stupid, old man that I am)

In a comment post, Ed Dale encouraged me to stick it out.

I am trying to get better clarification of what his instructions were.

Thanks Wendy. A great easy-to-understand introduction to FriendFeed - which is a useful aggregator and broadcaster of information. Now you've shown me how to hide items or users and to filter out items and users. Now I can filter out all the tweets about coffee . . . or put them all into one filtered coffee stream. Thank you.

A friend of mine just asked me to explain FriendFeed to her today, so I gave her a quick little tour. It's too bad I hadn't seen your excellent article before talking to her, because I could have shared so much more.

I use FriendFeed, but not a single one of my friends is on it -- so I've always thought its uses were limited for me. But your suggestions on rooms really helps.

As for my favorite feature of FriendFeed, it's actually to search my own tweets. Yesterday I had to find two links that I had tweeted several months ago, and it took two seconds thanks to FriendFeed.

Friendfeed is very useful when you have a lot of feeds and you dont feel like updating everything manaually. We are also using ping.fm and hellotxt.com. There are so many sites out there to help manage social feeds now. I personally like friendfeed the best although it takes a minute to really understand and get the most of it
