I am on the advisory board for the first and help organizing the second).&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;To Sam et al: you know all of that costs money to put together (look at mashable - they also have a staff of people who needs feeding, I accept their advertisement as part of the equation.).&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;But you should not miss out on it, play it strategically. Get yourself an expo pass, a cheap flight to it and a night or two through priceline. Share costs with somebody you like for the hotel.
