A mesothelioma prognosis tends to be bleak, with most individuals dying from the disease within a year after diagnosis. The prognosis of an individual in stage one will more than likely be better than the prognosis for an individual diagnosed with stage three or four. Aggressive treatment can be started sooner, aiding in preventing the cancer from entering into further stages. In these latter stages, the prognosis is poor because it has usually spread into other organs and the blood stream, making a cure obsolete.

Conventional therapies may not affect mesothelioma in the same manner researchers once thought. Cases may vary by the individual. More alternative treatment options are becoming available and as with any type of disease, personal lifestyle and overall health may contribute to the outcome.

There are two major types of mesothelioma, peritoneal and pleural. The mesothelioma prognosis is not dependent on which area is affected or the type. Since most forms of mesothelioma cancers are considered malignant, treatment options for both are about the same. Treatment options may include chemotherapy, drugs, and surgery or a combination.

Although early detection of mesothelioma improves the prognosis, it may be difficult to diagnose. The symptoms are similar to that of several other conditions. The patient may go through a series of tests in an effort to check for these other diseases. By the time the patient has the signs and symptoms and are evaluated for these things, the cancer has usually spread.

The problem with sharing revenue with the users is that it alters the incentives for the users... I'd put up on my list, not the things I love, but the things people will buy. It's great for publishers, but poor for the viewer. This is essentially letting a publisher pick which ad he wants from a wide variety of ads. I'd go all mesothelioma, all the time....

Pete, I think this is a good idea but essentially a wrapper on CJ/Linkshare that makes it much simpler for any user to benefit from affiliate programs (which really is the best form of performance marketing and will survive for a long time). However, the barrier to entry is minimal and distrubution may be difficult. How about creating TypePad widgets for adding blocks of affiliate links per your blog/focus? Also I think Chitika kind of automates all of this including the review content part. But on a much broader perspective, I think any systems makes it so simple to broadcast affiliate links, the perceived value to their end users diminishes and it can turn spammy. A very good indication of this is the fact that every affiliate site is not even 1/100th as successful as the top 1% super affiliate sites. So MyPickList and others may commodatize participation and benefits from affiliate programs but they might, implicity, focus on helping people make money from affiliate programs rather than solving some very specific end user pain points. Don't get me wrong - the idea is good but it may be tough to control how people use it.

Seems to me that often the difference in execution is willing to give up some control (or some revenue) to those people who sign in and create the "content" that's driving traffic in the first place. When I read about sites that *almost* had the same idea but didn't catch fire, this seems to be a tipping point... and perhaps a significant one at that.

I recently read that evolutionary theory - Darwin's survival of the fittest - has given ground to ideas that some organisms/animals survived by forming symbiotic relationships. I guess they got smart. Perhaps the lesson in all this is that symbiotic relationships have truly returned and the smart companies are realizing that the best relationship is no longer manufacturer to customer, but manufacturer to consumer.
