Perhaps it will also make some entrepreneurs realise that they can't get rich by infringing other's copyrights.
Sites like YouTube would likely be just as successful if they only had user generated content and were more strict about reviewing content before it is approved. It is possible to "play by the rules" and be a success. So, this won't deter companies who are entering the market and plan to respect copyright.
Revver comes to mind as a company who has done just that.

All humans being copy behaviour from birth onwards. Only God has a copyright. If you do not want to makeyour music known outside the concert hall, : Than don't make records and do not publish.......
Intellectual property is copied by us all for free. I don’t “invent†a meal every day but copy cooking skills from others. I speak a language I did not invent. I tell jokes I heard others telling me before. I draw pictures with instruments I did not craft myself, I sing songs other composers sang first etc. etc.
Copyright is only a creation of those in power to impose on those without power. It elitarian politics and protectionists economics .
What will take it's place?!
