Another Chrome instance open in Incognito mode does the trick perfect!!
  • Everton Fraga · 1 year ago
On my iPhone I can do it without tricks ;)

Enable POP3 access in GMail and use POP Peeper email notifier.
  • Peter van Teeseling · 1 year ago
Mac users can use Mailplane: http://mailplaneapp.com/
Behaves more or less like a desktop mailclient, integration with Address Book and local media (like iPhoto). It supports multiple Gmail accounts.
It's not free, but easily worth your money.
  • darkkosmos · 1 year ago
From all the stuff you mentioned only multi browser actually gives you control of 2 accounts in the same time and it's rather obvious..

I just set up multiple (e|g)mail accounts in my Digsby client. Works great!
  • Moshe · 1 year ago
You can use add-on CookieSwap, which will switch cookies (and session) used by GMail

A simple way to check different gmail accounts at one time is to open multiple instances of gmail notifier. You won't be able to see multiple inboxes at one time, however you can still have it check for new messages from multiple accounts.

    firefox -no-remote
and you can lunch different profile simultaneously
  • Marissa · 1 year ago
I do this also. I use a master Gmail account, but if I absolutely need to be logged into more than one account simultaneously I just use multiple Firefox profiles with the -no-remote trick.

http://www.orgoo.com is great, I can check all my gmail accounts pretty eaily on the fly, the only disadvantage is you can only log into one Gtalk account and it can be slow at downloading you inbox.

Orgoo is still in Beta, but it's my new favorite webapp, once it's got all the kinks worked out it'll hand down kick meebos ass. Unless Meebo can add some email functionality to their service.

@donnacha 23 accounts, yikes i thought i had a bit much with my 4 accounts. Firstly, why would you need that many and secondly how do you manage?

I agree, the IPhone lets you logon to all of them, so if you want to replicate that all you would need to do is get an IMAP email reader, you could add all accounts without a problem.

However, the best part of GMAIl is the actual interface.

So... i would PAY a monthly charge for being able to combine all my accounts into 1, and have multiple aliases(domains as well) into the same account, and without ads. Would make life so much simpler!

i believe you should look into the cookiepie firefox extension. br,a
  • kwiry, Inc. · 1 year ago
Single site browsers is another way to go, this is kind of like using different browsers though. Prism (the Mozilla project) is the Firefox version (but no plugins....) and Fluid is the Safari based app.
  • Anon · 1 year ago
If you don't use a lot of GMail's features, Thunderbird + IMAP works well too.
  • WindPower · 1 year ago
    Firefox profiles/moz_no_remote anyone?
  • Eric · 1 year ago
What about Fuser? http://www.fuser.com Not only can you log into Gmail, but you can also log into other email accounts.
  • stephanie · 1 year ago
I tried Fuser as well - I found it too clunky and cumbersome. I'm glad it works for you, Eric.

I'm a Digsby user - I like that I can Delete, Mark as Read, Archive, etc from Digsby's tray, and then open in a web page should there be anything that I want to read immediately. I am now using this in Windows in place of Gmail Manager (which has gotten worse of late).

I'm waiting for Digsby to come out in a Linux flavour, however.
  • David Jaeger · 1 year ago
Gonna second digsby - although it doesn't let you see the inbox, just the indvidual message, it's better than nothing

I noticed you were using Opera in the screen shot for solution one. I have a total of seven email accounts, four of which are gmail. Why not solve the problem simply by adding all your email accounts to Opera via Tools/Mail & Chat Accounts. You will need to change Gmail settings if you want to use pop.

Opera's mail panel will filter mail for each account automatically but ALL incoming mail is shown in UNREAD. Give it a whirl...

Thanks for these. I'd love to see a post on how to log into multiple Google AdWords accounts at the same time.
  • blahblah · 1 year ago
adwords uses google accounts for authentication, so you can use multiple browsers, or firefox --no-remote , or one of the cookie plugins :)
  • Marc Fest · 1 year ago
I use Netvibes and Gmail's inbox RSS feed to monitor multiple Gmail accounts.
  • c · 1 year ago
Use Thunderbird (another fine Mozilla product and Free) this solves the problem totally.
  • Grace · 1 year ago
You can always try the Flock Browser
  • Dwight Stegall · 1 year ago
The best way is to use the Firefox or Internet Explorer addon that loads a free search bar with the very best email notifer in existense. You can make your own search toolbar or use one created by someone else here.

    http://www.conduit.com/

You can be logged into an unlimited amount of email accounts and it will poll these accounts at a time interval you set to check for new emails. Mine is set to 5 minutes.

Here is the one I made. You can use it or make your own. Your choice.

    http://emailbar.ourtoolbar.com/

I've used all of the other GMail Notifiers. They all pale in comparison to this beauty.

    how about IMAP access?
  • Keeem · 1 year ago
Outlook let's you read/manage multiple Gmail accounts as well. Another solution is to use Gmail for your Business. You can have as many "Gmail for your business accounts" as you want open (I always use a custom start page, so that might be a factor in the ability to open many business inboxes in FF). You can setup personal or gmail accounts to forward to a specific business account - even setup business accounts just to be specific catchalls for regular gmail accounts.
  • Kevin · 1 year ago
Use www.fuser.com Fuser allows you to log in to as many webmail accounts at the same time as you'd like. This is the best solution to the proposed problem in this blog post.

How do logn in to G account multy log in and set it up?

  • professional · 1 year ago
its possible to use exchange, thunderbird, or any other email client to check multiple accounts with pop3 or imap, the only downside is that then you must be using your own computer to check all your email.

another good option is to use a firefox plugin like cookiepie http://www.nektra.com/oss/firefox/extensions/co... which will let you force certain tabs to use their own set of cookies

using this plugin its possible to have several gmail accounts open in several tabs, without having to use internet explorer :)
  • Rory Carrier · 1 year ago
Google Chrome browser has an incognito mode where you should be able to do this a lot easier!
  • Ted · 1 year ago
I use firefox and I'd expected this to be solved in version 3 inherently. Enough with firefox plugins that don't work 100%. The open source community is strong enough to make a script like mailplain only free this time.
  • Ketan Shukla · 1 year ago
    I have the answer.

    Mozilla Thunderbird Email client.

    Get that from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/thunderbird/

Then add this plugin into the email client

    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/ad...

Then go turn on IMAP in your GMail

Then come back to Thunderbird and Add as many Gmail Accounts as you want from the Account Settings.

    Cheers and Have fun :-)

I've used Mozilla Prism for that puropose and it worked without problems
  • Rique · 1 year ago
Whoever suggested using Chrome in incognito mode, that does the trick nicely! Thanks. What is nice is that you keep the gmail feature set (which you have to give up if you are using a POP client).
  • serdar · 7 months ago
mozilla prism is the solution that i've been seeking for the ages.

    thx.

I found the following site during a google search: http://www.online-tech-tips.com/computer-tips/l...

There is a program listed called CookiePie Firefox Extension.

I don't know how well it works because I just downloaded it, but I thought I would let you know about it.

Another instance of Google Chrome open in "Incognito" mode does the trick perfect!
  • Name · 3 months ago
Great suggestion. This works. But I am able to get only 2 accounts open in Google Chrome. For example account # 1 in the Incognito sessin and account # 2 in the regular (non-incognito) session. If I open an additional window in incognito mode and type gmail.com it automatically points to account # 1. Similar issue with the regular window.

    Another workaround using Chrome Browser:

Suppose you want to login into K gmail accounts simultaneously.
Step 1: Open K tabs in google chrome
Step 2: In each tab load the gmail login page by typing gmail.com It is important that these login pages are loaded in each tab before you login into any account
Step 3: In each tab login using your user name and password into a gmail account. You can sequentially proceed thru the tabs and each tab will load a different account.

I tried this with 3 tabs for 3 accounts and it works. The same trick works with incognito and non-incognito windows as well.
