Well, anonymous previous poster, Thank you for your nice comments.

I am still using the Chrome browser and am very happy with it. It's more stable than IE(anyversion) or Firefox. It's also faster and most sites actually work.

It's unpolished and that's good. Polishing apps makes them unstable, user-unfriendly and bulky. The interface is clean rather than childish.

I guess you posted this comment to get attention, hey, you got it!.

anyone using chrome is an idiot.. this browser hasn't been out of its beta stage, from the vigrous tests i performed on this crap.. it's an unstable alpha in my book

here's what you should be using:
windows(all versions):k-meleon
mac: shiira
linux: galeon or epiphany (according to your desktop)

chrome is an unpolished product with its comical interface it should only appeal to teenagers. blondes or ladyboys.. if you use it, maybe you're one of those?(deep inside..you queer)

1) Tried the beta version of Chrome, went back to Firefox. Was lacking some essential features like the favorites management.
2) Tried again Chrome out of beta, and now definitely switched from Firefox to Chrome:
- incredibly fast (loading the browser, loading the pages - very important point since I'm using 5 years old computers),
- maximized browsing space on the screen,
- very quick access to the favorites with the favs toolbar,
- nice search feature within the address bar,
- nice layout of the browser,
- nice shortcut to applications (with maximized browsing space!),
- does only what a browser has to to and nothing more.
For me, the best one out of FF, IE, Opera, Safari, Mozilla, Netscape, Konqueror. No way back.

I am Chrome addict right now! The most important thing when we are surf the internet is speed and Chrome done it perfectly.

Sometimes it will crash like hell and I've just have to uninstall everything (even remove the root folder) before installed it again. Problem solve but I can bear with it as this is just a beta version ..

Can't wait for a full fledge Chrome browsers around! Thumbs up!

Been a dedicated Chrome user since day 1. I was never really a big add-on person, had maybe, at the most, five in Firefox, so it wasn't difficult to switch over. But Chrome has made me realize how slow Firefox was before, for I did have to open it due to some complications with Chrome. And IE was absolutely unbearable.

in chrome go to Options > Under the Hood > Privacy > uncheck "Use DNS pre-fetching to improve page loading performance"

this will stpp the hard drive thrashing

i keep hearing people say, " I wish chrome utilized the Google toolbar". have you studied chrome? It IS the Google toolbar. The features of the toolbar such as prefetching, instant suggestions, and quick bookmarking are all built into Chrome, you just don't have to see an extra toolbar. don't try to install and accelerometer or toolbar onto Chrome - it will make it go slower - these features from Google are already built in to Chrome.

Does anyone else find that Chrome is perfect for opening a ridiculously high number of windows? Sometimes I'm researching a topic, and I'll have at least 30 windows open. I would then move all the windows I still use to the left, right click one of the tabs, then "close tabs to the right." Really beautiful stuff.

Only thing I hate is that it's like surfing the internet without protection. You're exposed to everything from multiple adsense blocks to flashy credit ads. Unless there's ad-blocking built in somewhere in Chrome (doubt it).

I would try chrome if it was mac/linux compatible... My only access to an XP machine is at work and I am not allowed to install software here.

As a college student, it's hard to use Chrome. Accessing things classroom programs like Blackboard and WebCT don't work too well. And as everyone knows the multimedia end of Chrome isn't the greatest. But for personal surfing, and everyday use Chrome is my go to browser. Integrating the Google features, like Docs & Reader would be huge. Maybe an optional toolbar?

As soon as Chrome doesn't force their interface on me and lets me use my windows classic interface I'll be a user. So long as they feel they know what I want more than I do, I'll refrain.

I'm not yet, and I've held off because of the lack of support for Chrome that you mention. I'm really just hitting a stride with firefox and playing around with extensions and apps.

I'm a Chrome user, but I don't think it needs anything - I use it because of speed, and use Firefox when I need plugin/addon features. Fatten it up with addons and features, and it loses it's value, I'd rather use FF.

If they ever do addons though, they only have to make an addon or feature that accepts FF addons, and they're set.

I use Chrome on my Laptop when I in 'Break' or Demo mode at Starbucks. It is quick!

Else, I am hooked onto FireFox and its Extensions in all their glory.

Audio/Video problems??? If anything the whole Firefox/Flv is a problem... not everyone has an issue but after upgrading to Flash 10, I still get frequent skips in my video.
