"the social network *is* actually announcing the new platform next week"?
  • mrshl · 2 years ago
"It’s being mentioned in the blogosphere that the social network has actually announcing the new platform next week at ad:tech NYC."

This sentence is so bad I don't know where to start:

    1) Unnecessary passive voice.

    2) Totally unnecessary use of the word "blogosphere" (hint: it's never necessary).

    3) No links to any of the various mentions (plenty of links to Mashable, though).

    4) "Has actually announcing"? Can't decide what tense or construction to use? Will it be the future or the past?

I hope these comments aren't part of Troll Week, since they are spot on - keep em coming. ;)

Let the record show my comments aren't JUST for troll week. I am competing for cash and prizes. :)

A hint that Facebook is in talks with record labels, on Facebook's job's page under the position "Software Engineer, new grad," the position lists "Great taste in music" as a bonus point.

Thank you to all my personal editors. Don't know where I'd be without you!

Will the partnership simply stengthen the major record label (waning) stranglehold on music - or will it promote the music in a meritocratic manner?

this terrible, i think a lot of left myspace and went to using facebook because it was over the top with bands and a lot of annoying rubbish! I just hope we don't end up receiving friend requests from artists and irritating songs blaring out on every page!
