You can send it to me or using the form available in Hictu. There are some known issues that our team is going to solve in the future releases.
I'm sorry you don't like the look and feel, we'll try to improve it in the near future :-) Thanks!

Re: Social Scraps: Renkoo, Reddit Passwords Stolen, Yugma, Hictu, Flippid, GoBits

shame on reddit for their passwords fumble BUT they are not a clone of digg.

that sounds like they stole the idea. having the same concept doesn't mean they are a clone. We don't know what revenue they get from ads. If their revenue is strong why sell? An M&A is not the only exit strategy. Also, I doubt Zukerberg is doing all the talking. Facebook has a very significant investor team that no doubt controls the way the company is headed.

Re: Social Scraps: Renkoo, Reddit Passwords Stolen, Yugma, Hictu, Flippid, GoBits

Im no legal expert, but don't companies have to take some sort of security measures regarding personal data? I thought I read a while back that companies could be held responsible if their stored data is not encrypted...It could just have to do with *personal personal data though (ie, credit cards, ssn, etc).

Re: Social Scraps: Renkoo, Reddit Passwords Stolen, Yugma, Hictu, Flippid, GoBits

Marcus,

Yeah, and it's exactly what YouTube's Chad Hurley said a few months before they got acquired:

http://mashable.com/2006/07...

The fact is, everybody is always open to acquisition if the price is right. The reason given was that it made it possible to send password reminders. But as commenters pointed out over on Reddit, you can just reset someone's password and email them a new one if they forget.

Re: Social Scraps: Renkoo, Reddit Passwords Stolen, Yugma, Hictu, Flippid, GoBits

It takes one line of code to encrypt passwords. I can't believe a major site would actually store passwords in plain text. They had this coming!

Facebook's Zukerberg is being too stubborn. I don't care how profitable they are, they simply cannot justify passing over a billion dollar deal!

Sorry, I had a long day.

Re: Social Scraps: Renkoo, Reddit Passwords Stolen, Yugma, Hictu, Flippid, GoBits

Wow... way to store passwords on your site as plain-text instead of using simple/custom encryption! Web 2.0 sites need to start taking advantage of Security 2.0 features! :)
