Other than a few minor hiccups, I can't tell the difference between it and my old Bell/Rogers phone line, and the price is pretty cheap, especially compared to Vonage. $50 setup fee, no monthly rental fee for the router, $20/mo for unlimited 'local' calling (local being most of Ontario), and all of the features you would find with a regular phone service (they even email you when you receive a message on your phone).
It's getting kind of crowded here :-)
Try out http://www.jajah.com - it's really simple and you can try it out right away without registration.
Jajah is free and low-cost global calling with your regular phone. There is no headset, no download, no software and no broadband connection needed. You are using your existing phone (landline or mobile) and so is the person you are calling. You can call your friends for free, no matter if they are online or not.
You simply type in your number and the number you want to call at http://www.jajah.com and Jajah will connect your call between two regular phones (landline or mobile) anywhere in the world.
You can use Jajah from your mobile phone/iPhone via http://mobile.jajah.com or via one of our mobile plugins from http://www.jajah.com/info/tools/
You can make conference calls (no password, no dial-in) and schedule your call to any time and date, so you can't miss your calls anymore, your phone will ring, you pick up and you will be connected to the designated number.
Cheers, Frederik
