Hate to be the spectre at the feast here, but my idea of free isn't having to supply three of my friends' email addresses before I'm allowed to download something. I'd rather fork over a nominal cash fee than rat out my friends to internet marketers...

Hi Michael, thanks for your feedback. I agree some of them were asking for friends' emails in return for some more ebooks. But I just skipped that part.
While researching for this post, I realise there are a lot of ebooks that are only definitions of blogging and RSS and so on. Then there are those that are there only to sell some or the other products. The effort was to segregate the ebooks that are different from these lots and then select the best ten out of them.
Seth Godin has some more good free ebooks on his blog.
