Over the weekend our company launched an iphone version of our adult streaming website at http://m.wantedlist.com/. It's not an actual Apple App since Apple won't allow for adult products, but in the context of discussion its site/ app specifically designed for the iPhone.

So far the responses have been great. People are really embracing the use of this site especially with all the new 3G phones. If you were an old iPhone, wherever you had a wifi connection, you probably were using your laptop or home computer. However, now being on the 3G network people can stream adult movies with a lot more ease.

In terms of how this will effect the existing marketplace, mobile has to be a big money generator for adult companies. As Huffington Report posted and as many adult companies including ours will attest, this has got to be the slowest time for the adult industry due to increased competition from free adult sites. Adult companies need to embrace and mobile (as well as other new platforms) as a means to make up for lost revenue.

I wouldn't think most people would care all that much about having a porn app on their device. Call it something innocuous and don't put it on the iPhone your employer pays for ... other than that, who cares if someone has porn/porn app on their device?

It's more a question of what porn's future is on the iPhone - since "adult entertainment" companies consider the device (and it's non-phone sibling) pretty much perfect for what they want to deliver.
