It seems MySpace's only hope would be to develop an application so you can import the same messages and features from facebook profiles into MySpace (giving a dose of the same medicine).

    Thanks for the coverage Adam!

Just to clarify, we certainly don't think of Fuser as an anything killer...we actually think we're adding value to MySpace, Facebook, and the users who are trying to manage accounts at both places.

And that's a lot of users...according to Hitwise, 20% of traffic exiting Facebook is headed to MySpace

You can't deny if this thing takes off it's going to crush MySpace page views though ...

This may signify Myspace's final decline. This new application basically eliminates the need to actively use Myspace at all. Those users who prefer Facebook between the two may simply never even login to Myspace again since they can depend on Facebook to keep them up to date on all Myspace activity!

    Until myspace blocks it.

This is good until myspace blocks it. Myspace is known for blocking or banning sites. This will only be a huge hit if myspace does not block it.

    this definitely looks useful!

i noticed that (at least on firefox/win) it uses a signed java applet. it's possible that this applet could potentially get around any myspace blocking, because requests to myspace could be sent from the user's own computer.

Yeah I noticed the client-side java too... For me, Firefox crashes when I try to load app.

You guys do realize something like this already exists, right? Mashable covered it in August.

    Rhuadin,

While Spacelift is a very cool application, Fuser is actually pretty different. The biggest difference is the ability to show you your MySpace messages and bulletins...a little more depth than just the publicly available comments on your profile. Also, in the near future we'll be adding the ability to manage comments, messages and bulletins (reply, delete, etc), something that Spacelift doesn't do today either.
