Automatically generates HTML code (along with custom CSS code so you can style it to match your site). It works with any blog or CMS platform since it generates plain HTML for you.

Quick, easy, convenient:

http://www.evilgeniusmarket...

Eric G. It'll cost, but it's in beta now so wander past and take a look if you like. http://www.tudumo.com

Re: The Tagging Toolbox: 30+ Tagging Tools

TagandFile.com offers a tagging service for files, with searching, access control and full history too.

Re: The Tagging Toolbox: 30+ Tagging Tools

There is also this site:

www.shaftag.com

It allows you to search multiple places by tag.

Re: The Tagging Toolbox: 30+ Tagging Tools

Dont forget tagging on forums..

We provide tagging mods for several board types already..

http://www.boardtracker.com...

We also index valid tags on most other board types.

An advantage of BoardTracker tags is that we enable cross-board tag view and search (and clouds) meaning one board can show tagged topics from multiple specific boards or even ALL boards indexed by boardtracker should the board admin choose this option. The same global functionalty applies to our other mods.

Re: The Tagging Toolbox: 30+ Tagging Tools

Great list, I think Ultimate Tag Warrior is the most important but will have a play with those Tag Cloud Creators, thanks

Re: The Tagging Toolbox: 30+ Tagging Tools

Here is a standalone program that works with any WordPress or WordPress Multiuser blog (including WordPress.com) to create tag clouds from your categories:

Tag Cloud Generator

Re: The Tagging Toolbox: 30+ Tagging Tools

I have been looking to add tags to my blog, can any reader's shed some light on which wordpress plugin is best (from the list or not)?

Re: The Tagging Toolbox: 30+ Tagging Tools

Don't forget TagURLs - search domains by tag. http://www.tagurls.com/

Re: The Tagging Toolbox: 30+ Tagging Tools

http://www.bandsintown.com
Bandsintown uses a giant tag cloud to display concerts in your area. It estimates traffic on Google, Yahoo and Ask covering 95% of the search traffic around ... the other great stuff is that lets you download the results via csv ! let me know what you think ... any suggestion is more than welcome!

Traffic estimator tool

Re: The Tagging Toolbox: 30+ Tagging Tools

Do we really need a post devoted entirely to tagging? Ha. In my mind, tagging is simply a feature that many online start-ups choose to leverage to provide meta-data and context. The fact that there are 'tag cloud creators' and you choose to list them is bubble-worthy :)

Cheers,
Aidan
www.MappingTheWeb.com

Re: The Tagging Toolbox: 30+ Tagging Tools

Wow...i've been searching for this information long time. Now i can easily embed tag cloud in my blog Tech Thoughts

Cheer,
Gopinath M
Tech Thoughts

Re: The Tagging Toolbox: 30+ Tagging Tools

Regarding Tag2find, I've actually done that with all my documents. I use a Mac, which has support for Spotlight comments, or tags. I've tagged all my files, and dumped them in one folder. Whenever I need a file, I search with Spotlight with the tags that the file should have as the search terms. It's wicked fast.

Nick Santilli over at the Apple Blog (http://theappleblog.com) is what gave me the idea. He has a few articles about the topic, if anyone is interested. Tag2find looks (Well, I just glanced at the page) like the same thing.

Re: The Tagging Toolbox: 30+ Tagging Tools

Good resource - had no idea so many were available

How did you locate all of these
