Mashable - The Social Media Guide: 2008/07/06/videosift-scrapeup/

I typically like the articles coming out of Mashable. But why is Mashable talking about scrapeup? It looks like someone put it up in about 5 minutes and it's an old played out idea. They're aren't bringing anything new to the field.

You should talk about sites like MeFeedia http://mefeedia.com/ or Feedables http://videos.feedables.com/

    Hi Dave,

You're right, ScrapeUp was put up fairly quickly. It's a little tool that we think people will find useful for pulling together videos from different popular sources. For me, the Internet is about solving little problems.

I don't like having to navigate through the seperate UIs for my favorite video sites. I have used feedreaders, but they invariably don't let me watch the videos without opening an ad-laden page with a couple hundred comments.

Sometimes I want to view all the comments and related posts - but sometimes I just want a quick peek at what's happening around the web in video.

Feedables is pretty neat too - thanks for the tip!

While I'm not sure about ScrapeUp, Videosift is a great website.
