I just saved 80% on a "very good" condition used book from someone within my state - granted I will have to see the condition it actually comes in, but so far so good!

http://usedmarketplace.bord...

Re: Borders Relaunches Online Bookstore Sans Amazon

Cool (I guess). Buy most of my books used at either a Goodwill or an Out of the Closet thriftstore or through half.com or Amazon used, but when I buy a book new I buy it at Borders (most of the time). Good discounts here and there.

Re: Borders Relaunches Online Bookstore Sans Amazon

thanks for the info

Re: Borders Relaunches Online Bookstore Sans Amazon

Another indication their alliance with Amazon is over is the e-book store. They've set up a partnership with Sony, offering its ebook reader, and ebooks in the Sony Reader format. The Kindle is nowhere to be seen. I guess if you're breaking up, you gotta leave the china behind.

Re: Borders Relaunches Online Bookstore Sans Amazon

I think Borders is in trouble. They seem to be stuck in a model analogous to Blockbuster...one front online and one in brick and morter. They better not make the same mistake.

Ryan
lessons in brevity
