    Because yelpers encourage snarkiness among each other, the reviews are more negative than not. Very difficult for a small business to manage. Hope this new tool helps.

    Happy to see it when any site allows more of a conversation than a one way review.

    We've done this since we launched. It allows business owners to participate in the community and address potential issues e.g.

    If Yelp build this the right way it will encourage more owners to promote post-service reviews.

    It's great that Yelp created a way for businesses to monitor what comments users are saying about their business. I participated in the Miami Beach Technology Council last week about where I discussed the importance of how businesses should monitor what is being said about their business or service. I used Yelp as an example of a place where users leave comments and what was said in the panel was transcribed here:
