I'm a 35 year old professional who loathes FaceBook for many reasons but particularly because it has become an application spam engine. The latest most annoying ones lure you in by telling you that your peers have voted on your personality, creativity, date ability and on and on. When you click to learn more your prompted to install the app. What's worse is many times you are thrown into a question and answer session pitting your coworkers and other friends against each other as to who is more creative or you'd be more likely to date. Then an email is sent to them letting them know you for instance find them attractive or want to date them. All because you voted to learn more. This stuff is annoying and unnecessary crap. It makes me want to delete my Facebook account and use MySpace only but alas this will be coming to a MySpace page near you soon;-(

Re: MySpace Developer Platform Launches; Levels the Playing Field for App Builders

MySpace have totally picked the ball back up on this one. Its rumored that the F8 launch partners only got 6 days to bring their apps.

If we had left things for longer than a month then I think we'd begin to loose the patience of the developer community who were ready to get out the door with something.

(Disclosure: I work with MySpace on the developer platform)

Re: MySpace Developer Platform Launches; Levels the Playing Field for App Builders

FaceySpacey, Your One Stop Social Media Shop, will of course be taking orders starting now!

James
from
FaceySpacey.com, Your One Stop Social Media Shop
