Mashable so far always tried to keep some form of "news" reporting from the industry - but this ...
too bad i relocated... i would have definitely go to work there and get some options... it sounds like the next Google...
I was trying to find couple of people in Facebook I know and I couldn't find them, I even tried the advanced search (ever happened to you?)
by the way, I am a search expert and not some dumb user.
so do you know what I did? I went out of Facebook and looked in Google and found it on the spot.
If Facebook and other social networks had a better search solution, maybe I would put some more content there and people could actually find stuff and other people...
Delver will release a public beta (no invites) next week, supporting most major social networks. Stay tuned.
(Disclaimer: I work at Delver)
On a side note – it is not uncommon for two Israeli companies to take a particular industry by storm. As an entrepreneur who has multiple exits under his belt I would suggest taking a more positive approach – at the end of the day our industry is a small boat – rocking it doesn’t help anyone.
The bottom line – both companies have great ideas – both companies have good teams, both need to work hard and focus on execution – and not in the “killing each other†sense. Time will tell who is better and actually delivers results that the end user finds more beneficial than Google - which at the end of the day, is what it is all about, no? When either of them show me a product that actually delivers on the promise I would be happy to put my cash on the table…
* The big guys would NEVER outsource a critical component such as search.
* The small guys can not pay large amounts to make this a really valuable company.
I would like to hear those type of questions being asked by Bloned 2.0 and others. Enough coverage of feature, features and more features. I would love to see the CEO/VP Biz Dev present their business plan in details. Otherwise, this is going to be one of the rare interviews this company gets on her way to the dead pool.
Get a life, learn the industry or keep your thought to yourself…
Disclaimer - Don’t work for any of the above – did meet the guys at Sightix and was impressed with both the team and the products functionality that allowed me to actually understand the results... Good idea, Good product, Good luck – I think you guys have a shot!
and my my, never mind she calls herself a"social marketing strategist and consultant", anybody can do that, but to state "has been an influential force in the Israeli tech scene for many years" is really a load of crap. lucky for ms. nof, there is no vallywag in Israel. She is helping in writing materials in english, and does mainly what she's doing here - plugging clumsy written pr gigs "in the blogsphere". never heard an original insight from her, never will.
and shin1? sucks.
'skeptic' and 'oh my god' need to 'get a life'..
Just to clarify, I am not a Sightix consultant and never was, so please get your facts straight before you start bashing others plus "helping in writing materials in english" is not what I do. Read up before commenting please:
