There is a familiar "hands on" attitude and the founders are well known to the end user which promotes a certain comfort within the user base. I would like to see more sites with the protection level for the users that this site offers.

Re: Minti Raises More Money, Expanding Beyond Parenting

Yep, I have been using the diet site fatsecret since early November.

You should review Pete when you get the chance.

Re: Minti Raises More Money, Expanding Beyond Parenting

I think Minti is by far the best organized site out there in their space. They are gaining market share and are definitely one to watch.

As Rachel mentions above, another one to watch is CareSquare.com - connecting parents and caregivers in a social network.

Re: Minti Raises More Money, Expanding Beyond Parenting

I have only now heard of MINTI, and think its a great site, well structured and seems to be sticking to their niche.

Re: Minti Raises More Money, Expanding Beyond Parenting

another website that's come out of oz that's tearing it usp is http://www.fatsecret.com its a vertical around dieting

those aussies are doing ok

Re: Minti Raises More Money, Expanding Beyond Parenting

They might want to fix the performance problems they have before launching other sites. Minti is very laggy most of the time (Alexa reports that it's slow too). Looks like another case of software with a lot of features that isn't very well put together.

Re: Minti Raises More Money, Expanding Beyond Parenting

Thanks, fantastic we are up for the Awards, we are also up for Awards Nationally here in Australia for NetGuide (top 5 parenting site in Australia)...however, the site is aimed at global parents, which we will be focusing on....you may also like to check out CareSquare
http://family2point0.wordpr...

Re: Minti Raises More Money, Expanding Beyond Parenting

"Minti’s 'MySpace for parents' is the first of many vertical social sites that will be built on the vibEngine software..."

is that part of the press release?

Re: Minti Raises More Money, Expanding Beyond Parenting

Neat website. The frontpage is a bit clustered but they managed to organize sub-sections nicely. The profiles are simple and well designed as well. Moreover, there seems to be plenty of activity and content being processed on the site. It's the content that matter most so they are definitely headed in the right direction.
- Jawad Shuaib
