    It's amazing that with all the money News Corp. and Softbank have they don't realize that localization is about a lot more than language. Putting up cookie cutter copies of MySpace might work in places like Australia but it won't work in many others like Japan. They'll need to do a lot more than this if they want to put a tent in the momentum of truly homegrown leaders like Mixi.

    yes, i agree that localisation means more than just language. i dont know about japan but if it was in china, i doubt myspace would do any better than Chinese Cyworld.

    If you go to jp.myspace.com and later return to myspace.com to log into your myspace, it pust a cookie on you and everything is in Japanese as if if you are on jp.myspace.com. You need to clear your cookies to fix it.

    You can alternatively just click the "international" link and choose MySpace US - seems to reset the cookie.
