We did to, its where we met, and we still use it today, in addition to other means, to stay in touch, which is helpful since its still a "VERY" long distance relationhsip, but we still make plans, change our lives, plan moves and trips, and deal with families like all more traditional engagements.

@sbostedor: Amen! I met my husband online in a chat room in 1995, but I think there are some things that should still be done offline: sex, proposals, and death (not necessarily in that order), although I'm sure my husband would be disappointed if all sex were kept offline.

Probably a stunt or a joke but it's cool. Call me a traditionalist but I think that this should always be done in person with a ring in hand, though. Doing it over the Internet takes a lot of the romance out of it.
