I think Facebook's deal with Microsoft brought more value to the company's brand. It must've prompted Yahoo and other companies to see Facebook as something potentially profitable.

So is Yahoo admitting defeat then of it's own product (Yahoo360) if it is in fact pursuing the purchase of Facebook?

Guys.. what you expect from a company run by a 22 yr old who had a stroke of luck and is running out of luck soon.

The deal with having to pay M$ for breaking the deal is totally absurb.. so definitely its a deal made without much considering/negotiation ... the lack of realworld experience is the key

    Trapped?

Innit a bit like a straw being trapped by its paper wrapper?

Thats amazing. I dont really think its a mis step. You cant plan on your business being bought out like this. Maybe the MS partnership scarred Yahoo into believing they needed to buy them as they were the odd ones out. 10 mil would be a nice out and is nothing really, MS would rather have the ads running and would make more than 10 mil and establish themselves as a solid PPC player.

Has anyone considered that maybe FB just doesn't want to sell :)? For anyone keeping up to speed with their new features (I don't mean reading reviews, but actually USING them) you'd know that FB is much bigger than a 1B idea. Youtube, on the other hand, should sell.
